LFNU: Issues on the shift of qibla direction should be proved

The Nahdlatul Ulama Astronomy Committee (LFNU) has still awaited reports from experts in regard with issues on the shift of the qibla direction as a result of earthquakes or many other natural disasters.
The astronomy committee of the Indonesia's largest Muslim organization has called for the importance of proving its truth by carefully doing scientific researches and involving experts from various disciplines.<<>br />
"Theorically, quakes in Indonesia in the last decade have not yet shifted the direction of qibla," chairman of the LFNU KH A. Ghozalie Masroeri told NU Online here on Thursday. (nam)
