IPNU calls on legislative hopefuls to pay attention to education

To attain an advanced state, the most important to take into account is education. Indonesia will attain its advancement by prioritizing education. In the campaign season in this year's election, only a few number of legislative hopefuls campaigning high quality education. At this point, the Nahdlatul Ulama Students Association (IPNU) has called on the hopefuls to be much more concerned about education.
M Rikza Chamami, chairman (ad interim) of IPNU made the remarks on the sidelines of an annual meeting of the Central Java's IPNU held in the Central Java's NU office Jln. Dr Cipto 180 Semarang on Sunday (15/3).<>
"If all legislative candidates are committed to pay more attention to education, many people will of course show lots of sympathy," Rikza said.
He was of the opinion that the commitment to education should first of all be declared. If not, he added, the candidates would possibly focus more on economic and political affairs, saying the education was more important than the two affairs.
He said to anticipate any possibility of legislators paying no attention to education affairs, IPNU would call on all parties give positive feedbacks to legislative hopefuls to have a commitment in regard with educational innovations. (mad)
