NU: King Salman considers Indonesia as his second home

King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud told the member of NU Advisory Board (Syuriyah) Jusuf Kalla that Indonesia was like his second home.
"He considers Indonesia as his second home, as his visit to the country is the most extraordinary one," Kalla who is also the vice president stated at the Halim Perdanakusumah airport after bidding farewell to the Saudi king who was headed to Brunei Darussalam at 10 a.m. local time.
Kalla said King Salman had thanked the people of Indonesia for their warm welcome.
"I told him the warm welcome reflects Indonesias love for Saudi Arabia," he remarked.
The vice president also conveyed the gratitude of the Indonesian government and people to King Salman for his services in taking care of the two Muslim holy cities of Mecca and Medina.
"We thank the king for looking after the two holy cities. We also explained that here in Indonesia we have 800 thousand mosques. Hence, Saudis mosques are grand, while ours are numerous," the vice president stated.
He said the Saudi king left for Brunei Darussalam after staying in Jakarta on March 1-4, 2017. King Salman is on a half-day visit to Brunei, and he will leave for Indonesias tourist resort island of Bali in the afternoon on Saturday (4/3). (Masdar)
